A job listing for a scriptwriter spotted by PSU has revealed some details about the upcoming Splinter Cell. In the eight years since then, series protagonist Sam Fisher has shown up in other titles such as a cameo appearance in Ghost Recon: Wildlands and Rainbow Six Siege. The Splinter Cell remake will be rewritten to be more relevant to a modern-day audience. This will be the first Splinter Cell title since 2013's Splinter Cell Blacklist, also developed by Ubisoft Toronto. The original Splinter Cell title debuted in 2002 and in the 19 years since then has had a total of seven games in the series. With this remake, we are building a solid base for the future of Splinter Cell." The original title - Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell - launched in 2002 on multiple platforms including the PS2.
